Headlight is an Indo-French Non Governmental Organization officially created in July 2009 for the purpose of promoting Road Safety in Delhi. It comprises of young, motivated Indo-French nationals operating from Delhi as well as France.
Headlight came into existence when we lost a dear friend who was travelling as a passenger in a car that met with a fatal accident.
We are determined to spread awareness about safe driving in India.

“Our commitment is in line with the action led by UNO, which just proclaimed the period from 2011 to 2020 as the “Decade of Action for Road Safety”
Our initial efforts are centered on spreading awareness about the risks of drunken driving through our project Spread the Word:
- Promotional Activities in Pubs and Bars
- Distribution of Breath Analyzers
- Promotion of concepts like “hire a cab” or “hire a chauffer”
- Production and broadcast of short movies about road safety
We are currently working on 2 new projects:
- Hari Batti
Project “Hari Batti” aims at bringing awareness of basic road safety to street children by the medium of film.
- Watch out
Project Watch out involves the production and broadcast of short movies related to Road Safety, that would be showcased across cinema halls in Delhi.
